A carpeted unit with a kings-sized bed or twin beds, a separate kitchenette with a bar fridge and a microwave, an en suite bathroom with a shower over bath and private patio adjacent to the old smoke hut. This is one of 3 cells (the historical name for a nun’s bedroom) in the Nuns house. Traditionally, the Nuns cell would be simply furnished and would only be used for prayer, spiritual reading and sleeping. The nuns were not obliged to answer to a knock if they were in prayer or were in reading. In order that the cell was a very quiet place, nuns were not permitted to speak in the corridors along which the cells were situated.
